Dunham McCarthy provides a face-to-face, professional, Will Writing Service. The service usually costs £139 for a single will or £199 for two 'mirror wills', however during these uncertain times we are offering the service without charge to friends and family of our existing clients. See below for instructions on how to request vouchers for your friends and family.
WHY MAKE A WILL?Dying without a Will makes a difficult time even harder for your family.
You risk depriving your spouse or partner of their home, increasing any potential inheritance tax liability and leaving your estate in the wrong hands. With a younger family if the worst happens, in addition to having to deal with the loss of a parent children are faced with other problems, they may have to move house or change school; they may even be taken into care whilst social services appoint a suitable guardian.
APPOINT EXECUTORS
Name the people who you want to take charge when the time comes.
NAME TRUSTEES
Put money in the hands of trusted friends and family until children are older.
APPOINT GUARDIANS
Document who should take custody of any minor children.
SPECIFY BENEFICIARIES
Clearly identify who should benefit and in what order / proportion.
NO COST
The service is entirely free of costs; this includes taking your instructions, visiting you at home to check draft documents and to sign your final will.
NO CATCH
For us, this is a great way to meet new clients, we simply hope that should you require legal or financial advice in the future, that you consider using our firm.
NO EXCUSE
Our advisors can visit you at home or schedule a video call. Also, we work daytime and evenings, so there really is no reason to put off making your will.
